    Pros

well paid, global (option for travel) great CEO

    Cons

poor low-level management, gossip/backstabbing culture, one rule for you another for us. My time at CSG was punctuated with odd, conflicting & downright confusing instructions based on things with zero effect on how I performed. Furthermore, I strongly advise bending a knee to the office queen(s) or your life will be made difficult. my first 6 months at CSG was spent trying to figure out how appease the cats & work effectively at the same time. strangest office environment I have ever worked in and I have worked in a few, in different areas / continents as well. do not be fooled by the money, arbitrary popularity rules this place. left 4+ months ago now happily settled in to competitor :-)

    Advice to Management

focus on results as opposed to what your girlfriends whisper to you

    Pros

No good things except good at one thing that is flexible to work from home

    Cons

Even the un-experienced employees also can become managers at this company. Any thing can happen in this company
from the past 2-3 years there are no projects implemented successfully there is no improvement in revenue of the company as a result to compensate lot of laid-offs due to lack of experience for the managers they don't know how to keep there employees feel there job is secure and safe. as a lot of moves from company looking for better opportunities outside of the company

If they don't meet the revenue they meet by laying off the employees.
At this company you should have the command and dont fear about reporting back to the higher authorities these are the things that are going on for the past 2-3 years

    Advice to Management

MAKE THE EXPERIENCE PEOPLE AS MANAGER

    Pros

There is nothing that is a positive in working there

    Cons

Completely inept leaders - no understanding of what it takes to run a business. Annual layoffs, low pay, worse benefits. No respect for employees. Leaders lead by "do as I say not as I do"

    Pros

Can work from home if there is a need.

    Cons

No career path and NO opportunity for advancement.

    Advice to Management

Be honest about layoffs so that employees can prepare for unemployment. Invest more time in caring about the employees. This will boost morale overall.

    Pros

Casual dress code, great benefits and outstanding new facility in Omaha.

    Cons

Layoffs are frequent and without any rhyme or reason. (Quick to fire veterans and new employees alike) Workers fear for their jobs constantly, and are very quick to fend for themselves; This crushes any sort of "team" collaboration-based environment, and harms ever level of the company. Company is generally disliked by customers, creating a difficult work setting, especially for those who are customer facing.

    Advice to Management

Practice what you preach and practice "open communication" with your employees. 10 years ago, the company would gather quarterly for an open discussion on that quarter's financial situation. That is long a thing of the past, and employees who are left in the dark are left speculate constantly.

    Pros

decent pay. casual dresscode. nice facilities

    Cons

Frequent layoffs. Starting to feel like another ‘FDR’. Its not what you know. Its WHO you know.

    Advice to Management

Break up the good old boy network. Get out and talk to the employees. The overall mood is very negative. Most employees do not feel valued or feel like they have job security.

    Pros

Benefits were good until they started paring them down. After that, the benefits were no different or better than any other company. Recommended for anyone just starting out. Can learn about big company politics and how the game is played. Don't plan on staying long after you gain what you can. Seemed like if you can blame others for your mistakes and cover them up, you will do fine.

    Cons

Always had to work mandatory overtime, plus overtime anyway due to so many chiefs and so few Indians. So much rework due to poor quality standards of employees. Micro management by managers who basically take up space and air in offices. Plenty of blame for who did the wrong things, but no enough praise for those that did the right things. Antiquated software from the days of First Data, new development is off course for industry standards. Big ideas but no clout in accomplishing goals for improvements and increasing profits and innovative technology. Stale environment, stagnant work force, no new ideas from management or work force. Management constantly plays favorites and uses some for tattle tales. Uneasy workplace for even honest mistakes.

    Advice to Management

It's time to get rid of the drift wood sitting in the offices at CSG, not always the worker bees. Listen to those worker bees, some of them have good ideas that get ignored by incompetent management.
