    Cons

No chance to be permanent soon. They don´t encrease your salary so you remain the same youyears and years.

    Pros

    - Good place to get experience in a variety of product lines
    - People work hard and try to get things done even with very little resources

    Cons

    - Doesn't really have a quality mindset. Talks the talk but not the walk
    - Very high turnover

    Advice to Management

Yes you are a third party manufacturer but realize that if you improved quality you would save a lot of money on rework and lost customer expectations

    Pros

Really anything in the South US

    Cons

Lack of professionalism, very low maturity of HR processes

    Advice to Management

Do not beleive what you are told, but verify by yourself or initiate investigation before making a decision or formulating an opinion, indirect information from people potencially with bad interests can lead you to eliminate the positions of your best people

My job working for Flextronics as an At&t phone tech

    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Flextronics full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company had great benefits and you always got your 40 hours per week.
I got to work and learn about all different types of phones.

    Cons

The company would change the rules very often and sometimes not inform you.
Also the company had an open door policy but if you used it you would get talked to about doing that not really an open door policy

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like people and not just like and number.
Also take the time to listen to them instead of them telling them that you are wrong and they are right.

    Pros

Negotiate a good salary up front because you will never get any more.
There are good, smart people there at the working level.

    Cons

Upper management down to mid management have no idea how to move thru a project and get anything done. They will not listen to those on the ground in the trenches. Executives overseas are clueless as to how to run the business in the States.
NO work life balance at all. You work, that's your life. Holidays, sickness, doesn't matter. The only time you will get off without having an argument is if a close relative dies! Seriously.

    Advice to Management

You cannot run the American side of the company the way you run the Asian side. It doesn't work.

  9. Good company to work for if hired at a corporate location instead of an acquisition site.

    Pros

Good benefits, reasonable work hours but just average work quality. Not satisfying job at all.

    Cons

No career growth opportunities within the organization. It may be different if one is hired at a corporate location but if you're part of an acquisition site, most likely one would end up doing the same thing without any growth.

    Pros

Tuition reimbursement. On site cafeteria. Lots of work. Nice surrounding area.

    Cons

No career advancement. Salary is below market average. Annual raise is usually less 3%. Lots of internal politics. No work life balance.

    Advice to Management

Be fair on the pay rates for hard and dedicated employees.
