    Pros

Bright colleagues, flexible working, cool office, reasonable autonomy

    Cons

Too many layers of management, don't have a clue what is going on back at the floor so make decisions in isolation. Decision making really slow, with no value having to go thru. Work life balance not great. While flexible working it means you work long hours.

    Advice to Management

Stop making decisions which impact people doing the role without knowing what it really means. Can't keep relying on those left to pick up the pieces. Why so many directors, vp and svp and do they all need to be involved in every decision. Get your top management lean.

    Pros

Good, solid people. Interesting products. Fascinating global environment.

    Cons

They are demanding, and the only thing you get for completing one project it another project. They rarely say thank you, or give praise.

    Advice to Management

Allow more fun at work, celebrate the wins more with people, allow a few luxuries for people. maybe an espresso machine, lunches out or something. Don't be afraid to say thank you. People need to hear that every once in awhile even if they are quite senior in a company.

    Pros

    Fun people that work hard

    Cons

Upper management seems disconnected to what is really happening. Managers are just following orders

    Advice to Management

It is getting tough to keep everyone happy with less help, there is some fear with layoffs. seems that managers are working to keep bosses happy but cant help employees due to lack of time and availability

    Pros

Great people to work with. Basic benefits are competitive. Salaries are lower with respect to expectations.

    Cons

There is a communication gap between the executives and director levels and it is highly political. Company is getting stuck in process.

    Advice to Management

Check with the guys doing the actual work to see what they need. Work with those closest to the problem versus ladder climbing individuals.

    Pros

Great CEO with great vision and approach. Good compensation package.

    Cons

Division leaders are not in the same class as the CEO. Micro manage but talk about delegation and accountability but there is a serious lack of both. No home life balance and there's a lot of talk but the division leader behavior contradicts it. Leaders are indecisive.
