In general , it was nice experience to work at LiveOps

Director (Former Employee) Redwood City, CA (US)

Prosthe working culture was good and company promoted innovation. They had two times hackdays per year :) The technology management teams also picked up 1-2 projects of them and rolled them to the production.

ConsThe base pay for the employees which joined the company a long time ago were too lower. The company needs to have a retention plan for employees.

Advice to Senior ManagementIt will be better to increase pay base.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Great Place to Work

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsFriendly people, management are personable but very professional as well. Good life/work balance, but could give more vacation time. Company is taking on more customers rapidly, fast growth and new CRM products have been acquired. There are monthly 4 PM cocktail hours, World Cup viewing parties in the office. Occasional offsite events are fun as well. Office is in an attractive park-like setting with ponds, lots of lawns, trees, guys playing soccer. Quarterly bonuses.

ConsSome growing pains which are natural in this environment. Account managers are overloaded with work. A lot of documentation is obsolete. PTO is a bit skimpy.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Don't waste your time!

    Customer Service Representative (Former Employee)

ProsYou can schedule your own hours and their call center is open 24 hours a day, the training is at your own pace and is not instructor led

ConsYou are paid by your talk time 0.25 per minute, so IF you talk for a full hour you are paid 15.00 for that one hour. However, the call volume is terrible because they have so many people working, it is hard to get any hours and worst of all you are answering infomercial calls. Trying to constantly sell them more than they called in for, before you can even process the order you have to go through like 5 screens of upsells, with the customer getting angrier and angrier the more you try to sell them

Advice to Senior ManagementGet some other clients, the upsells are annoying

    Health Insurance Customer Service

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsI love working from home as a military spouse.

ConsHours are hard to get unless you are online when the schedule rolls out.

Advice to Senior ManagementMore options to get hours, more non-phone opportunities.

its an ok place if you dont mind selling

Customer Service Sales (Current Employee) Myrtle Beach, SC (US)

Prosyou get to pick your hours, pay actually is not bad when you get calls, some calls are eay.

Consdemand hard upselling and the customers get mad after 10 minutes or so of trying to sell them something they probably cant afford and dont need..many times no calls so so you dont get paid unles you are actually on the phone.

Great idea's no actions to get there.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsGreat success story on their platform its being sold globally. Limited access for their own agents but hopefully that will change soon. Dedicated self starters but not many left on staff.

ConsSmall departments which makes for long waits with requests a overworked team which then becomes unproductive.,as well as creating and fostering negativity within the levels of management. This is only for agent business not platform business. Platform and sales take priority over agent business which is their revenue generator.

Advice to Senior ManagementFollow through and do what you said you would do, don't hide.

    A lot of training!

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsThe hope of getting work uncommitted.

ConsAlways have to worry if call volume won't be there

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease advise people before you take away dedicated lines. And when you take them away don't just give a canned answer.

    It's okay, could be better.

Sales Representative (Current Employee) Houston, TX (US)

ProsYou can create your own schedule, pay is decent.

ConsNot enough clients for customer service work, it is hard to answers if you have issues with technical stuff or just need to ask a question, sometimes you sit with no calls on the sales lines.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep communications open with the independent contractors.

    Good so far

Independent Agent (Current Employee) Indianapolis, IN (US)

ProsIf you can read directions, you can succeed

ConsCould improve technical help by having a tech department to help independent agents with any and all questions or problems while working. If you are keeping a performance schedule, then it makes sense to lend assistance to those who are working to perform.

Advice to Senior ManagementAdd personal insurance lines to the line up, not just life insurance. You now have an opportunity through a client. What will you do with it? I'm ready to write auto and home.
