    Pros

Lots of opportunities to learn. Jovial work environment (for now). Encouragement to be creative and take on your own projects. Fun place to be, good perks. Good place for those that will harness their own destiny, you can eventually go far if you fight with your teeth to get ahead.

    Cons

Too much work at too many levels which will overwhelm you if you are responsible. Too much work at too many levels which you will get away with not doing if you are irresponsible. The amount of work is not prioritized, goals and side projects may rain on you constantly. Daily process are way too meticulous for parts of the team and get in your way to get job done quickly. Receiving more work can be the most significant reward to your high performance. Direction of the team feels scattered. Chances to grow feel arbitrary and out of your control.

    Advice to Management

Prioritize. Give a clear direction. Get acquaintance with the amount of day-to-day work of a parts of the team and reduce process details where needed. Put more effort on distributing work equally.

    Pros

The people I worked with became really good friends, amenities are great, the office is great, the social culture was great

    Cons

The social gaming market space is hard to survive in, constant uphill battle in explaining numbers (growth revenue), leadership was not stable

    Pros

The teams I have worked for have been made up of great folks. And of course, there's the free food, fabulous coffee, gym accessibility, and good medical coverage.

    Cons

Management seems to go through much churning. Pick a path and stick to it, people! Also, the teams I have been on seem to be heavily skewed towards the engineering side, with art and design sometimes being given short shrift. Also, the advancement plan seems haphazard and unclear, and now that the quarterly bonuses are not being given, no real effort has been made to provide any kind of cost-of-living pay increases, even though we live in one of the most expensive parts of the country.

    Advice to Management

Don't wait for people to jump up and down in front of you to give kudos. Be aware of ALL of your staff, and at least reward them with thanks for hard work and loyalty.

    Pros

You get to work with some of the smartest people in the Valley regardless of the discipline. There's also a strong chance that you'll become a big fan of the product you are working on as well.

    Cons

i think the biggest problem at Zynga is the number of pivots a product might go through and those decisions coming from the execs.

    Advice to Management

Trust the smart people you've hired and let them create a product based on data and instincts.
