I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 daysinterviewed at ADP.

Interview Details

I was approached by a recruiter, she set up a phone interview where she scheduled a face-to-face interview with the VP of sales. The interview went well and Brad was very nice and thoughtful. Got an email from the recruiter the next day saying they decided to pursue other candidates.. Every time I asked her for extra information like feedback, she would say "let me see" and never got back with me so there was no way to find out what I did wrong or what I needed to do to be considered in the future, which I think is pretty shady. I like to learn by my mistakes, but everything else was a smooth process.

I was interviewing as a current Paychex employee. I was also applying for a position in another city 7 hours from my house. I applied online and received a phone call from a recruiter the next day. He was very helpful and offered me the chance to meet with the hiring manager later that week. I told him that I could not make the trip on such short notice and would need to do a phone interview instead. A date a time were confirmed. One the date and time of the phone interview the hiring manager never called me, this was rescheduled for the following week. Once the manager did call me, he was rude and basically told me I had to meet him in person I finally decided to make the trip to the office. My appointment was at 11 and I was sitting in a conference room for a half hour waiting for someone to talk to me. He was again rude and barely let me speak to answer my questions. I then did a role play as a sales rep with another manager and was told I did well. I was then told a recruiter would contact me the following week. I received the rejection email soon after.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at ADP in December 2014.

    Interview Details

The interview process is four steps. So far, I have completed the first two steps and await the next two. It has been great thus far!

I live out of state, so my first two interviews were over the phone. The first was with a recruiter. The second was with the VP in sales for the area which I applied. Both were very nice and easy to talk to. If you interview with the company definitely be yourself! It sounds to me like this is a great job, IF you fit well in this type of environment. From everything I have read and researched, the job is VERY competitive. If you can't handle that or do not enjoy competing, do not apply. If you like that type of environment, try it out.

Don't be nervous though because the people interviewing are VERY nice and easy to speak with.

I applied online. The process took a dayinterviewed at ADP.

    Interview Details

Really bizarre. I applied online and the interviewer told me it would be relaxed and casual but in about 1 minute they seemed to not care at all about what they were doing. They stated it was because of the season and whatnot. They asked the usual "Why ADP" and work experience questions. Interviewer seemed really uninterested and even bored, like this was something they had to do to meet quota.

    Interview Questions
    • Nothing. The three were generic. I felt like it was a pageantry contest more than anything. If you have a great social media profile, then hooray. I think that's what they're looking for, which I think is silly: not everyone wants to be plastered on the Internet.   Answer Question

I can tell you the recruitment department has no idea what they are doing so they clearly seem to take anyone they can and see who the managers will like. They were all over the place when talking to me, and never sent me the correct information. I was asked to drive to the city where I was interviewing for a day and they asked me to come super early so I did. I met with the VP of sales who gave me general questions, and at this point I learned that they were a low performing office. After I met with a manager and did a sales pitch which was quite easy (he told me I did really good) I went on the field ride. Which is where the red flags came up the sales rep was late to the business, and was in the business texting friends while talking to the client. If this is how a good sales rep acts I wouldn't want to work for this company. I walked out not wanting the job, and got my rejection letter days later

I applied online. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at ADP.

    Interview Details

Interview with recruiter - Interview with sales manager - Trial day - Interview with sales director.
This role was for outside sales to small businesses 1-49 employees.
Interviews were all relatively straight forward with no tough questions. The process took around 3 weeks however I declined the role. The knock on door approach may work for Avon Reps or Girl scouts, this is I.T solution sales

    Interview Questions
    Reasons for Declining

Compensation on offer is way below industry average and there is no territory. i.e knock on doors to make sales. This is IT solutions sales not avon rep. However this appears to be the approach taken

I applied online. The process took 5 weeksinterviewed at ADP in October 2014.

    Interview Details

Three step process. First an easy phone interview, gives you the ins and outs of the company and full details of compensation. Second was a face to face interview which took a total of 20 minutes, nothing out of the ordinary. Third was an 8 hour long interview, complete with an hour and a half of interviews with different groups of people, then a 5 hour ride along with an existing sales representative, and ending with a role play. I didn't hear back from ADP after my final interview for a full two weeks, and when I called to follow up the HR rep told me that I should have gotten a call days ago.
