ATT Customer Service Representative Interview (Positive Experience; Easy Interview)
I applied through a recruiter and the process took a day - interviewed at AT&T.
Interview Details The interview was pretty standard. I only met 1 person, lasted 1.5 hours. The interviewer was pretty personable. I arrived on time, dressed appropriately, and prepared with answers to the top ten interview questions.

Customer Support Specialist Interview (Positive Experience; Average Interview)
I applied online and the process took 6 days - interviewed at AT&T in July 2014.
Interview Details I originally thought I was no longer being considered for this position after receiving an email stating that the posting had closed and any applicants that had applied to that posting would no longer be considered. After 2 weeks however, I received a phone call from someone asking if I was still interested in the position and was able to set up an interview.
The interview process was pretty straight-forward. However I was not interviewed by the person who was in charge of extending job offers. The person interviewing had a packet of questions that she could chose from and wrote down my responses.
Pretty standard interview questions such as :
- tell me about a time that you calmed down an irate customer. what techniques did you use?
- what do you find challenging about working with multiple software programs at once?
- what did you not like about your previous job?
After interviewing me the woman asked if I had a few moments and was able to have a manager (I can't remember what type of manager she was) meet with me. The manager was primarily interested in my previous call center experience and what I did not like about my last call center. I meet with this manager for about a total of 5 minutes out of the hour that I was there.
Once I finished speaking with the manager, I was told that I would contacted by the person in charge of extending the job offers.
I was asked on a Thursday for a interview. I interviewed on Monday and late Tuesday night was sent an email with a conditional job offer with it pending on background check and drug screen.

AT&T Retail Sales Consultant Interview (Neutral Experience; Average Interview)
I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at AT&T.
Interview Details Submitted application online, took the two tests online after application process. Then I was contacted by a hiring manager. Went for an interview with hiring manager, then interview with the store manager. I was then sent to take a drug test.
Interview Question – Just asked about previous sales experience. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – No negotiation. They determine pay rate.
Account Executive Interview (Positive Experience; Average Interview)
I applied in-person and the process took 1 week - interviewed at AT&T in October 2011.
Interview Details 3 round interviews. You have to pass an assessment test that will prove your sales skills. Dress professional and make sure you answer all of your questions with an ending question for them.

Assistant Store Manager Interview (Positive Experience; Average Interview)
I applied online and interviewed at AT&T.
Interview Details Hiring process takes some time. Interviewed for the position, offered the position 2 weeks later, offer letter came almost a month later. Total process was about a month and a half.
Interview Question – All questions are typical for the position. Tell me a time when something didnt turn out the way you wanted it to and how did you overcome it? Prepare for the interview. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – I was able to negotiate.
Retail Sales Consultant Interview (Positive Experience; Average Interview)
I applied online and the process took 4 months - interviewed at AT&T in June 2013.
Interview Details Applied online and later received a call from a Area Store Director, he interviewed me asked me the usual questions. Then he proceeded with another interview with a store manager then after with a phone interview.
Interview Question – What are your past accomplishments Answer Question
Negotiation Details – Weren't able to negotiate since its a union job.
Customer Assistant Interview (Neutral Experience)

Interview Details Applied 7/15 on company website received email same day to take a customer service simulated test online.
7/16 received email to come into testing facility for further assessment on 7/18
7/18 took assessment and results were given after testing session ended
7/25 received call for CSA interview scheduled this coming Monday 7/28
AT&T Retail Sales Consultant Interview (Negative Experience; Average Interview)
I applied through an employee referral and interviewed at AT&T.
Interview Details I was very qualified for their open position. There senior manager told me in my interview that I was a perfect fit, but I wouldn't get the job. He went on to explain to me that I was not black or male. He then tried to ease the impact of his statement by explaining that they were required to have a certain percentage of minorities in every retail setting. Needless to say, I was flabbergasted. I did not record any part of this conversation. I would have sued if I had.
Interview Question – What would you do if a coworker was stealing accessories by selling them to customers and pocketing the money, but you only see him do it once? View Answer
Sales Support Representative Interview (Positive Experience; Easy Interview)
The process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at AT&T.
Interview Details The hiring process for me started about 2 weeks after I submitted my application. I was then i was contacted by hiring manager to conduct 1st interview in corporate location in NYC, NY. After interview, I was later contacted within 3 days for second interview, with the stores area retail sales manager. I was later in the rest of the hiring process which consisted of drug test and recent employment background check.
Interview Question – The most unexpected question I would have to say was " Can you deal with people? Because they can be a handful" Answer Question
U-Verse Premises Technician Interview (Positive Experience; Average Interview)
I applied online and the process took 2 months - interviewed at AT&T in May 2014.
Interview Details I applied for the position online on 05-19-14. Then two days later I got an email saying they'd like to schedule an interview which I did that day and the earliest one available was exactly a week later. So I got to the interview and ended up 30 mins late. (Keep in mind it was in Dallas where HQ is so there are a lot of AT&T buildings to be confused by). When I went in me and another guy took the TMTF II TEST. Which is basically a test of physical and mechanical natured questions. To me it was really easy and I had no prior experiences with this job title. You are given 50 mins to answer 50 questions but it shouldn't take you that long as long as you don't spend too much time on one question. If you don't know the answer move on and come back to it if you have time later. Afterwards, the proctor came in and graded our test with a scantron machine. Apparently the other guy didn't pass and I did cuz I was walked into a room with 20 other applicants who'd gotten there on time. This was where we had our RJP (Realistic Job Preview). Most people on here will tell you if you make it to this point you've pretty much got the job but that's not true for everyone. At this point we were given the rundown of the job, good and bad. There were four guys. One kind of lax and joking a bit, one joking a lot, one uptight and another extremely uptight. The latter seemed to lead the discussion. He mostly talked about how hard the job will be and always calling us out on "not being able to handle it". Seemed to be like he had the 3 yr old "mine" complex and didn't want anyone else to have the job he has but him lol. Anyways all of these guys were garage supervisors of their own. Afterwards, we had one on one interviews with one of the four men. Luckily I got the super cool joking one so my interview was easy. Only asked about 5-6 questions. Pretty general behavioral interview questions, asked about me personally and talked about the job. He told me I would receive word in 2-3 weeks. I was like damn that's a long time but hey I found other work in the mean time. The next day I got an email saying I was apart of the qualified candidates and to be on the lookout
for communication on the next steps. Exactly 3 weeks later I got an email from a recruiter for the company saying they are ready to proceed with next steps. The next day we had a conference call with her and other candidates giving us the conditional job offer which was contingent on successful BG check, drug screen and physical. You were also sent an email asking a few questions and which gave a list of 12 locations to pick your garage site. You pick your top 3. After the call I set up my BG check with HireRight and the next day I went to take my drug test and physical. It was at a Concentra Urgent Care so it took like 4 hours. The physical only requires you to lift 80 lbs once from the floor to your waist. The BG check took 10 days to complete. Then the recruiter emailed me requesting I send her information about one of my previous jobs so she could determine my wage credit eligibility. Basically what you're getting paid. Make sure you are specific about any customer service or technical skills you displayed at this position so you can maximize the amount you get paid. A couple days later, July 1, I got a call from the recruiter extending a firm offer which I accepted. Due to the skills I had I was given the maximum starting wage. Had me feeling like LeBron. In Dallas Texas that's $713 a week. Then I was told my garage and where orientation would be on July 18th. Make sure you get your work boots as that might also be your start date. The union should be contacting me soon so I've been told. Overall the process took me from May 19th- July 18th. It's been a long time coming I'm just ready to start and
Interview Question – Tell me about a time you had to deal with a difficult customer. View Answer
Negotiation Details – Wage based off customer service and technical experience. No real negotiations without that.
