Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Saint Charles, IL (US) Feb 2010 – Reviewed May 18, 2013 New
Interview Details The interview was very standard. I was interviewing at a St. Charles, IL office. I was only asked behavioral type interview questions. I was offered the internship on the spot after my interview. After accepting the offer, I did not get contacted for a long time and felt like they had forgot about me. I found that to be very unprofessional. I left several messages and emails before anyone got back in touch with me with more details on the start date. Once I finally started, I was sent to training on Aflac. I was not reimbursed for getting a license to sell insurance. I did not really like the position but if someone else is interested and good at sales they would be good at the job. You need to be very self motivated and disciplined as the job is 100% commission when you start.
Interview Question – Again, nothing out of the ballpark. Very standard behavioral questions for the sales position. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – No negotiation. The job is commission based.

Interview Details
I was contacted by phone shortly after updating my Careerbuilder account. The individual that I spoke to on the phone seemed to know frighteningly little about the position and kept urging me to come in for an interview. "I'm sorry, sir, you'll have to take that up with your interviewer." She was unable to answer any of my questions about the position, so I had no choice but to drive sixty miles round trip for the interview.
At first, everything seemed fairly legitimate, but I was surprised to learn that What I thought was a desk job was, in fact, door to door sales at businesses. When I voiced my concern with my interviewer about how the first thing I saw when entering that very building we were in was a large-as-life sign that said "no soliciting" in the lobby, he insisted that it meant nothing. (I have worked as a front-desk receptionist before, and have had to call security on people who ignore those signs, I knew he was full of it.)
My interviewer went on to explain to me that I would be working as part of a "team" under him, and that as such he would claim a percentage of any sales I made. In turn, I could hire other salespeople under me and claim a percentage of their sales. It was at this point that I had to point out that he had just described a multi-level marketing system and that I wasn't comfortable with that, and he became increasingly defensive and agitated. I walked out of the interview.
Interview Question – Standard questions about previous employment. He also wanted to know about my hobbies for some reason. Answer Question
Reason for Declining – Multi-level marketing schemes are for suckers. I am not a sucker.

Interview Details It was a group interview. They ask everyone what kind of internship they would want to be in and which location. They give us some questions to answer on paper. They would explain the internship and what is about. If they like your answers on paper. A representative from the location you pick will call you and ask you to come in for a 1 on1 interview. The interviewer would ask you couple of general questions.
Interview Question –
What do you know about this internship?
What do you expect to get out of this
Answer Question
Negotiation Details – Non paid Internship
Accepted Offer – Interviewed on Alexandria, VA (US) Apr 2013 – Reviewed Apr 27, 2013
Interview Details I received an email that they wanted me to schedule an interview based upon seeing my resume and when I got there I was in a group with about 10 other people and they basically just gave an overview of how the company worked and what they were about and at the end they ask you to put a Y in a circle if you'd like them to call you in for a second interview. The next day I got the call back and I go for my second interview in 2 days. My training starts on May 7th and then I'll be shadowing an established representative for 90 days. I'm really looking forward to starting with this company to make some extra cash for my pocket!
Interview Question – haven't gone for my second interview yet Answer Question
Declined Offer – Interviewed in Lynchburg, VA (US) Feb 2013 – Reviewed Apr 27, 2013
Interview Details The local office found my resume online and said they were interested in an initial first step interview. The interview was really a group presentation about the company, market, and possible next steps. We were then asked to fill out an short form and finally asked to rate our continued interest between 1 - 10. Second one-on-one interviews were based on your level of interest.
Interview Question –
The second interview really had no tough questions. Generic questions like "Your proudest achievement?" were as hard as they got.
I was asked, however, how I felt about having to spend $330 to get state certified, and would be working only for commission. This is why I declined, personally, too risky.
Answer Question
Reason for Declining – Potential for huge income, but a risky start.

Interview Details I met a recruiter at a career fair who expressed interest in me and told me I would make a great fit for the job. I came in the following week for an interview to find out that it was a group interview with about 10 other people. A sales agent came in and gave us a two hour presentation on the job. He didn't do any actual "interviewing" of us. Afterwards we got in line to schedule a subsequent interview. I was given the impression that they hire just about anyone. I decided to decline the offer.
Interview Question – There was no actual "interviewing" done in the first session that I attended. He did ask us if we had large networks of family and friends who would be in need of insurance. Answer Question
Reason for Declining – Salary was commission based only. Got the impression that they don't invest in training their employees and have a high turnover rate.
Declined Offer – Interviewed in Albany, NY (US) Mar 2013 – Reviewed Apr 16, 2013
Interview Details The first interview is just to see if you can carry on a conversation. Next they bring you in for a group informational of how the company works, and all the positives of Aflac. The final interview is basically just a chance for you to ask question because they can afford to hire anyone because they only pay you money if you sell insurance.
Reason for Declining – I declined because it was 100% commission and seemed too risky for starting a career
Declined Offer – Interviewed in Columbia, MD (US) – Reviewed Apr 08, 2013
Interview Details I was contacted by a recruiter who scheduled an interview at the office I applied to intern in. The interview process was easy. I was interviewed by the District sales manager. He asked normal interview questions and some that applied to a future at Aflac
Interview Question –
What would you do if I stuck you in a room with a CEO and give you 20 mins to get him to choose Aflac?
What makes you the best candidate for this position?
Answer Question
Reason for Declining – The pay is based solely on commission.
