Goldman Sachs Operations Analyst Interview

Posted Apr 11, 2012 1 of 1 people found this helpful

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Salt Lake City, UT (US) Mar 2012 – Reviewed Apr 11, 2012

Interview Details I applied for an operations analyst position in November and receive a call from an HR Recruiter about a week later and did a phone interview. I was informed that there may not be a current opening, but that they would keep me on file. I was contacted again in February 2012 and did another phone with the same individual. Both phone interviews were fairly easy, questions like, "Why GS?" and "Tell me about your current role at X company."

About a week later I was invited for a set of 1st round interviews in the Salt Lake Office. I participated in four interviews, each 30 minutes. Two of them were 2:1 and the other two were 1:1. Mostly behavioral, work history, and process improvement questions. I was then invited back the following week for another round of interviews. Again is was four 30 minute interviews, but this time all the interviews were 2:1. Similar questions as the previous round were asked, although I was asked a few unexpected ethical questions.

After the second round of interviews I was called back for one more series of interviews with three senior VPs. These were actually the most pleasant interviews of all the ones that I had participated in. Again similar questions to the previous interviews. I received a call back about three days later to schedule an HR interview where salary expectations, benefits, etc. were discussed. I received a call about one week later from the same HR person who interviewed me with an offer.
