Declined Offer – Interviewed in Dec 2012 – Reviewed Jan 24, 2013
Interview Details The whole process took about a week, from online application to phone interview to office interview to job offer. Very helpful HR representative that would help you prep for the interview with the partner. The partner was very nice and down to earth. A very pleasant process overall.
Interview Question – None Answer Question
Reason for Declining – Offer was really good, but the expected work hours made me decide to leave public accounting for a little bit.

Interview Details First round on-campus. Second round pre-interview dinner and then 4 1/2 hours at the office the next day, which included a company presentation, 3 one-on-one interviews with managers and directors, and lunch with staff at the end. Everyone there was friendly. However, not sure how they picked the people who got offers in the end. Perhaps based on a better cultural fit or a higher degree (MST?)
Interview Question – No unexpected questions. The interviews were very conversational and laid-back. Mostly wanted to get to know you. Will definitely ask why McGladrey and why tax. Answer Question
Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Philadelphia, PA (US) – Reviewed Dec 27, 2012
Interview Details Got referred in by an existing employee. Had a phone screening with an HR recruiter. Was recommended to come in for an interview. Interviews consist of several 1:1 interviews (basically informal discussions) with managers, directors, etc. They usually do a group of candidates on the same day and you interact with the other candidates. Most interviews end with a luncheon with several 1st or 2nd year staff employees. Overall the interview process is very smooth and their HR does a very good job of communicating with you during the process. Decisions are made surprisingly fast and offers are extended very soon after the interviews are completed.
Interview Question – "What is the most frustrating thing you've experienced in your current or previous job?" Answer Question

Interview Details Recruited through career fair on campus. Second interview in 2 years. First interview in 2011 for an internship, second interview in 2012 for a full time position. Both times the interviewer who was a partner told me he was referring me for a second interview. Never got a second interview or even an email stating that I was declined. Very unprofessional company.
Interview Question – How do you organize your busy schedule? Answer Question

Interview Details
There was a pre-interview mixer where a partner and some managers, seniors and new hires/staff accountants mingled with the interviewees. That was pleasant good to talk with the people you are interviewing with before the interview itself, in some ways it was an interview with no pressure.
Interview happened the next day, I had met my interviewer beforehand at the mixer.
Questions were behavioral in nature - 'have you worked with a difficult person?'
How do you work with teams? etc
Interview Question – Nothing specific - I have a varied background and some international work experience that has been difficult to explain to most interviewers because it falls well outside the normal work experience. So any questions relating to past work experience specific to that work were tough - I just closely linked bits of what I did to what staff accountants are expected to do or linked it to the behavioral questions 'what was a difficult work situation & how did you overcome it?' and keep it relevant to audit/accounting job requirements Answer Question
Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Madison, WI (US) – Reviewed Nov 23, 2012
Interview Details I went through my school's job search program and got an on-campus interview. This was a 40-45 min interview with a director at the company and it was mostly conversational with a few behavioral questions sprinkled in there. It took about a week and half for the company to get back to me about a second interview, scheduled to be two weeks later.. At the second interview I had two sessions with a manager and a director (30 minutes each), both of which were very conversational. Be sure to have some questions of your own to ask them. Afterwards I went out to lunch with all the other candidates and 6 or so associates and supervisors. I was given an offer within 3 days of my second interview.
Interview Question – What are some of the things that you would do in/for the community if you are to move here? Answer Question
