Northwestern Mutual Financial Representative Interview student candidate

Posted Oct 30, 2012

Declined Offer – Interviewed in Pittsburgh, PA (US) Oct 2012 – Reviewed Oct 30, 2012

Interview Details I got the interview after a college fair. They were the first company to contact me after the event, and they called me for an interview two weeks later. The interview was with a HR representative, and it consisted of pretty standard questions (strengths, weaknesses, describe yourself, etc).

The process was easy and clear; you can tell they have a well proven method to select, interview, and select their people, especially at entry level jobs like this one. The goal for this position is to sell the company’s products to your network (family, friends, acquaintances, etc), and the company offers training and structure to help you set and reach your sales’ goals. If you are into sales, this is the job for you.

Interview Question – How would your friends or family describe you in five words?   Answer Question

Reason for Declining – Sales are not for me.

Other Details - I applied through campus recruiting and the process took 2 weeks.
