Interview Details
My initial communication with Paycom was with a recruiter who contacted me after I'd applied online. The phone interview process with the recruiter was great, and made me very excited to meet for a face to face interview with the hiring manager. I received my confirm email for the interview confirming it was early on a Monday morning.
That morning I showed up a few minutes early to the interview, and ended up waiting for over an hour for the hiring manager. She then came out to the waiting room saying that she never takes interviews on Monday mornings, and said that she'd see me the next day which is when she had me on her schedule. I showed her the email, asked if she could see me that day as scheduled b/c of my work schedule, and she sighed and acted completely inconvenienced, telling me that it would be brief.
This set a horrible tone for the interview, and throughout the entire process she treated me like the company's mistake was my fault, and that she was extremely inconvenienced. It was the most awkward, horrible interview I've ever been on. Needless to say I didn't move on to the next step of the interview process. I was very disappointed b/c of some of the great things I had heard about Paycom. I wish my experience had been better.

Interview Details I was contacted by a recruiter for a job in VA looking for sales people. I had prior sales experience and thought it would be a good fit. I was scheduled for a phone interview, but was never contacted. Then they called and appolgized and wanted to schudle me for a face to face which I thought was odd. The face to face interview was just as bad. The office is empty and the hiring manager didnt even get my name right. The manager didnt pay attention to any of my answers and was looking at his phone the entire time. He seemed to be making up questions as we went along. The only good thing is that they got back to me the very next day and said they were going in another direction.

Interview Details Really good base salary plus commission. They have to offer that because the job takes hard work and endless hours of cold calling. The human resources team in OKC were really nice. I was excited about the job until I walked into the Charlotte office. Very cluttered group of cubicles with boxes everywhere. The job might be for some people but wasnt right for me.

Interview Details I got there and they were running late in interviews i had to wait 30 minutes. My second interview was skype and was interrupted by a phone call.

Interview Details This begins with a first round screening of the office manager. Then you will cold call for them for 4 hours if the manager likes you. If you set about 3 appointments, they will let you interview with the Chief Operator of Sales. From there, if you pass that interview, you will have a bunch of background checks run on you.

I applied through career builder. My resume ended up being a good match, so I was contacted by a recruiter and given a phone screening. The phone interview went great and I had really high hopes for the next stage of interviewing with a sales manager. That was, however, until I got there.
First of all, I walked into a little office jam packed with cubicles where people were yammering away on the phones. I was a little deterred, but I knew what the job required so I decided to stick it out and see what the manager had to say. I ended up meeting with the regional sales manager who was lounging back in his chair in the conference room. The interview was pretty typical except for the fact that whenever I would be answering the question he would yawn and/or be messing around on his phone. Everytime he did this I stopped talking until I had his attention. It made it very difficult to focus on answering the questions and it was extremely rude/distracting.
As soon as it was done, I couldn't wait to get out of that building. I realized that I never want to work for a company where the "big shot" sales managers had such disregard and disrespect for a potential employee. After reading some of these reviews, it appears this tends to happen all over the nation... Interesting coincidence.

Interview Details I was contacted through a recruiter. I then came in and met with the sales manager. Had a great interview which then led to a phone canvassing session. After several other interviews, I was hired! The process is quick and, if they have an opening, they will want you to start quickly.
Interview Question – web interview with the CEO. It is a lot of objection handling and how you handle and still sell yourself in situations where you are being told no. Answer Question

Interview Details The initial communication was through a recruiter on LinkedIn. He was very nice at first and I though he would be a big help. He first sent in my resume and then told me when to will out the application. He then told me I would have a phone interview on Monday and would let me know Friday what time this would be. Sunday came around and he never responded so I emailed him and he said it would be in the morning and to prep the following questions: Why would you be an asset to Paycom? How are you motivated? and Describe why sales (or something of that matter). The phone interviewer was very nice but did not quite understand my resume. She asked only one of those questions (motivation). She then asked me about my education (it is clearly written on my resume that I transferred schools) and she asked multiple times if I transferred and if I had an associates degree from the first school and multiple times I said no and stated that I transferred. She also asked me Why the city Boston? I thought that none of the questions she asked me actually qualified me for the position. The interview only lasted about 15 minutes. After the interview I sent a thank you email 24 hours later, never heard from her or the recruiter only received a general email from HR. I would NOT recommend this company or going through a recruiter for them, waste of time.

Interview Details Let me first start off by saying that the entry level outside sales position with Paycom is one of the most lucrative offers I found in the market in terms of starting salary, benefits and professional development. With that being said, the interview process was extensive and very challenging. The recruiter was very honest about what I could expect to earn and receive from the opening as well as what the companies expectations are for those who receive an offer for the outside sales position. There were multiple steps and I felt that the managers I interviewed with were really doing their best to understand what I could bring to Paycom and whether or not that is what they needed to continue Paycom’s success. There were 5 different steps to the process. 1. Phone screen with recruiter. 2. Interview with sales manager. 3. Interview with regional VP. 4. Cold calling session. 5. Final interview with Chief Sales Officer. This was not an easy process but definitely worth it. I received an offer that included a 45k base (7k more than any other offer I received), $1 health insurance coverage for myself, and uncapped commission structure. Overall, this has been the most challenging professional experience I have ever had. If you are driven and have specific goals you want to achieve, Paycom can help you get there. I really feel I am on the fast track to the career I have always wanted!
