    I have been working at AltaGas

    Pros

    Some pockets of the organization have a learning, development and employee-oriented culture. There are many wonderful people who work at this organization. This company has the potential to be great. The share price does very well.

    Cons

    The tone from the top is that the bottom line takes precedence over employee growth. There is very weak communication and executive level presence in this organization on a day-to-day basis. It's unfortunate how many people are under utilized while senior management keeps hiring VPs from external sources.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Create a culture of employee growth. You'd be surprised how well the employees take care of the bottom line then.
