    The only struggle is trying to survive on basic salary below 16000 . It is very hard to live on in today's society. The salary should reflect the TOP CLASS company but at present its a struggle.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    They need to revise the basic wage. It is very hard to live on. It's can be a struggle trying to survive on it. Less than 16000 a year is really hard.. Increase basic wages away from sales and bonuses. Customer service roles should be in the 20,000 region for a top class company. Below is punishment and painful and a struggle to survive and live on in society today. The role is good but the basic salary below 16000 doesn't reflect the skills of a customer care proffesional. One can feel proud to say they work for American Express but to tell ones family and friends what your basic salary is. One almost becomes like a laughing stock as people can't believe such a top end company can pay that low and then they start to feel sorry for you. It can be embarrassing. Although the job is good the basic salary of below 16000 is very hard to live on. If at least in the 20,000 you would have your head above water and the respect of family members and you would not need to ask others for financial help as in extra money. It is a bit sad. Not everyone can be good in sales and if your not your stuck on the basic of below 16000. It's a struggle to survive on but some struggle on . Please revise basic to a suitable amount to represent the top class world company. Top end companies at least in 20,000 and above for their employees. Everything else about American Express is great.
