I have been working at BP full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Nice company to work for, good company culture, good values.
Calm atmosphere & great work/life balance.
    Flexible working is encouraged
Very interesting people to work with
    Compensation isn't bad.
    Long term focused company.
    Great offices and free lunches.
Decent chances to move job internally

    Cons

Lower pay that others in industry
Lots and lots of red tape, everything takes an age to get signed off.
Easy to get lost in the layers of middle management - does your work actually make a difference?
Plenty of duplication of work and old-timers who although tomes of knowledge, can be dead-wood.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay yourselves less (938% bonus for Dudley is a joke) and get on with the hard decisions that need to be made post Macondo
