    I worked at Boston Market part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    Decent, considering it was my first job ever. I worked there for a summer between college semesters. You get half off on meals during your shift, and I often found it rewarding to interact with customers.

    I noticed that they often trained workers to become managers, so it seems like there was a decent amount of opportunity for growth at my location.

    Management was okay - as with most places, it's kind of a mixed bag.

    Cons

    For the amount of work you do, the pay doesn't really justify it. You work very hard - probably about as much as you would if you were a server - and you don't get tipped for it or anything.

    I also felt like each of my managers were on slightly different pages and often contradicted each other. It made things kind of confusing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Communicate with each other better and make sure you're teaching the same things to each employee.
