I have been working at Boys & Girls Clubs part-time for more than a year

    Pros

The kids. Hands down. As I mention in the cons, I struggle to only stay the allotted time I actually get paid and that's because you genuinely see the positive impact your work is doing. My bosses are phenomenal and very accommodating to days off or any flexibility they're able to provide in your schedule. I really enjoy my coworkers as well. It takes a certain kind of person to want to work with kids every day, needless to say we're all kind of big kids at heart who like to have fun too.

    Cons

Not enough hours, it's an after-school program for the majority of the year so you don't start working until the school day is over. That being said, I struggle to only work within the 2 1/2 hours I actually get paid everyday. I'm in there early inputting numbers and I stay late because I can't leave behind a child with a homework question.
