I worked at Ericsson-Worldwide full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

A stable company with deep pockets. Looks good on the CV.
Ericsson has great technology that customers value

    Cons

Senior management are disconnected from the real issue. The biggest challenges come from within - not the competition. The company is overly bureaucratic and stifles innovation. Many managers are obsessed with making sure employees only do what is in their job description. KPIs are slavishly used to drive the business regardless of the unintended consequences. Teamwork is a company mantra but in reality teamwork is discouraged.

The HR function is at best toothless. A lack of proper oversight allows local managers to bend and even break employment laws. Bullying in some areas is rife.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a grip on bad managers and support their victims.
    Use KPIs wisely
Focus on customers, punish managers who put internal politics above customers

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
