    I worked at Foot Locker full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    - International colleagues.
    - Regular 30% discount with 50% twice a year.
    - Sample sales.
    - A company bus (cutting the travel time from the closest city down to 30mins instead of 45mins).
    - Company operations expanding across Europe.
    - Good company to have on your CV.

    Cons

    - Antiquated systems.
    - Extremely heavy MS Excel dependent working environment (I cannot emphasise how heavily dependent it is spreadsheets 20 iterations deep).
    - Lack of collaboration between divisions, each country will do their own thing.
    - The "USA way" of business operations is dictated by corporate, even though this is not conducive to European operations.
    - Save money by not paying employees wages they would easily earn elsewhere, no career development and minimal training. Management then wonder why staff turnover is so high.
    - The location is in the middle of nowhere, in a village without a train station requiring a 45min bus ride from the closest city with one.
    - Promoting employees who have no people skills or management skills to directors/VP's etc. based only due to the fact they have been there so long.
    - The company has a terrible reputation with recruiters, I was asked no less than 6 times ... "why is it so bad there?"

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    There is going to be no real change until you remove the slackers who have been working at Foot Locker for too long.
    Invigorate the company by moving from that village, maybe you will inject some young enthusiastic blood in to those old bones.
