    Current Employee - Store Manager

I have been working at GameStop full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Choosing your own team, resume builder, building talent, stepping stone, easy pace, straight forward marketing.

    Cons

Hours, Inflexibility, available schedule hours, training hours, lack of upward mobility once reaching store manager level, poor leadership among district managers, odd requirements for work weeks for managers, low wage, terrible "evaluation" system for monthly leadership scores, constantly redoing projects because they were unsatisfactory the first time ( the way the company makes you do them ). District managers cater to every customer complaint, giving out hundreds of dollars of free products to customers who are NOT correct. False sense of empowerment, contradictory work ethic.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It would be nice if we didn't constantly have to re-do everything the company tells us to do because they decide to change it a week later. Manager schedules are completely inflexible and district managers don't connect well with their teams.
