So much promise to be a great place to work - so badly wasted

    I worked at Infusion full-time

    Pros

    - Will meet and work with some very very smart and bright people. You can learn a lot.

    - There is a friendly and welcoming culture: I found this across all offices (not just London). You will meet and make some real friends, not just colleagues. There are regular social events - something the company does work at.

    - If you get to work on an interesting project (and the odds are very long on this - as in National Lottery odds), you will get exposure to some very interesting and cutting edge technology.

    Cons

In London, most recruits end up in financial services teams. This will, sadly, ensure, they will not stay with the company more than a few months, if not weeks.

    - You will get staffed on projects at a bank where you won't be doing anything productive, enjoyable, worthwhile or helpful for career development. GUARANTEED

    - If not at a bank, you will end up on other random projects that may be better for technology (whether you know them or not), but seem to be terrible with pressure and work/life issues.

    - Leadership in London were not bothered or actually quite ruthless or obnoxious, especially to some leavers, for no clear reason.

    - No visibility with any of the leadership team. Staff satisfaction survey results stopped being circulated which makes you wonder....

    - "Career development" means nothing - the idea of a career or training plan only mentioned when annual reviews need to be done. Then NOTHING is mentioned until the next year.

    - For anything technical, all work is shipped out to Poland (it was so much more cost effective for Infusion to do this)- this was the big trend and means that technologists in the office are not as important or significant now.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clearly, if the way the company is run affected the bottom line, there would be changes, but nothing does - so it seems Infusion is happy to continue in this way. If they cannot see how demoralised staff are then I cannot spell it out for them.
