I have been working at Interactive Intelligence full-time (less than an year)

InIn is a software solutions organisation that is very much leading the marketplace but still has the heart and soul of a small business where every customer matters. This happens because every employee (I am aware of) understands the common goal, and is actively engaged in achieving it. I am less than a year into my time here and my on-boarding, my ongoing management and the tools/team available to me to achieve in-role have given me an excellent opportunity to excel professionally. I have a good work-life balance and I have recommended the opportunity to work at InIn to some good personal friends. If anyone is concerned about joining this company in a region (rather than the US/Can)my experience is that InIn is very aware and accepting of different markets and cultures and willing to accept different models that work commercially - rather than only pushing a US-centric agenda. Senior Management is highly approachable and hands-on. I see myself here for some time.

Really, I have yet to find a major challenge. I have worked at some other organisations, UK-headquartered, and US-headquartered and they could learn a LOT from the level of engagement. If pushed, I would say that sometimes the perception in the marketplace is that we are 'new' - and this is not really the case. I think the marketing of our solution to operational contacts (i.e. non-technical customers/prospects) could be a little better.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Thank you for building a great company to work at. Challenges for the next 12 months will be around the marketing and deployment of a next-generation solution whilst maintaining growth in our core technology markets where our differentiation over Genesys is really starting to become apparent. I think this is a good challenge to have.
