Former Employee - Teacher in Los Angeles, CA (US)

I worked at Los Angeles USD full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I love teaching and I found many like minded dedicated teachers.

    Cons

I was never able to get a permanent position due to funding cuts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Considering the funding challenges and the political pressures to make teachers the fall-guy for the shortcomings of system, I would recommend that principals spend a lot of time observing their good teachers and making sure how much they are appreciated. It's a tough job and everyone needs encouragement.
