I have been working at NURSES Etc STAFFING as a contractor

Compensation rate slightly above industry average for geographical region.

Very poor benefits package offered at time of hire. PTO accrual rate is below industry average. Benefits information provided for review at time of hire indicates that employee cost for health insurance coverage is high and policy coverage is very poor (high deductible, high co-insurance %, Rx coverage limited to generic only, etc.). Vision and dental insurance appear to be good. No employer contribution/matching on 401K investments. Was told the company "hopes" to be able to implement employer contribution/matching on 401K investments beginning in 2014. Flexible Spending Account option available. Company apparently does not offer life insurance option, but will payroll deduct for policies obtained through AFLAC. Company will not reimburse for fees associated with obtaining or maintaining certifications/training required for the position and PTO must be used in order to be compensated for time missed due to participation in recertification/training. Overall, not impressed so far with the company's office organization. Not sure if the company has undergone a recent restructuring, but during the hiring process, most of the personnel did not know answers regarding information pertinent to their job title. Personnel also proved to be either not very timely or completely unresponsive to phone messages. Several times personnel requested copies of documentation only to lose the provided documents and request them yet again. Had to request copies of documents pertaining to position multiple times before either receiving from staff or just giving up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Employee satisfaction involves a lot more than just offering a good hourly pay rate. Consider investing in better benefits for employees and reconnect with your staff.
