I worked at Polycom full-time for more than a yearPros
Great sales teams- professional, dedicated and highly collaborative. Solid benefits and above average comp. Work from home environment is great. Polycom, in this way, truly "eats it's own dog food."Cons
Corporate strategy is all over the map. The most unorganized company I have ever been associated with in my 20+ years in the business. If your a new hire be prepared to ramp yourself. Very brief and informal new hire training, including product, services and basic internal navigation. Corporate to employee communications is well below par. Process are improving but can be obstacle to both customer sat and sales/quota attainment.Advice to ManagementAdvice
Continue to compensate well. You have a lot of talented and loyal professionals on your rolls. It's the only way you'll stop the bleeding (employees resigning) as the economy improves. Define and implement your strategy across all organizations. Overhaul your culture - it's toxic and is only being protected by the high compensation packages. Continue to innovate - great technology.Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookNo opinion of CEO
