    Pros

Great benefits. Good vacation time- 20 days when you start and that advances with seniority. Mostly positive work environment.

    Cons

Difficult to move throughout the company. I started in a call center out of college, hoping to get in to human resources eventually. It seems as though management wants you to stay in the path they have designed for you. For example, if you start in a claims call center, they want you to move up in to that next claims role.

I have applied to other areas and have been unsuccessful in getting a job because I didn't start in that area. They say there are ways to develop, which there are online courses that you can do. But, the hiring managers Ive interviewed with don't seem to care about that and are looking for actual work experience in that specific area. The idea behind the company's development resource is a good one, as they do provide the tools to advance. The problem lies in the hiring process. Taking these learning courses or using the company's training tools does not prove to be at all valuable to hiring managers.
