I worked at Transamerica full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Co-workers are generally decent people, nice office.

    Cons

Horrible management from the top down in the New Business department with serious attrition problems. No work life balance, terrible continual training. In the New Business Dept, management measures your hard work using a numbers game that can be manipulated, like any statistic, by employees to make it look like they're performing well, when in fact they are not. Many employees manipulate their numbers in order to keep their jobs, but if you get caught, you'll be terminated. But hitting your numbers is extremely difficult without manipulating the system, so almost everyone cheats in some way. The New Business Dept at Transamerica breeds a culture of unethical behavior due to this oversight by management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I already tried giving advice to management at Transamerica and my advice fell on deaf ears. Management doesn't seem to care much about their employees at Transamerica. The only advice I can give is: Good luck with your attrition problems because they're not going away any time soon.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
