    Pros

There are some administrators and fellow educators with their hearts in the right place. The administrators at the school are generally supportive of the teachers. When a student is causing unreasonable amounts of trouble for you, the administrators and guidance counselors are on your side first. Good effort is put into the athletic programs, and the administrators aim to make the workplace welcoming for all teachers.

    Cons

There are many terrible teachers here. The expectations are difficult to maintain and there is not much unity among the teaching staff. Terrible pay scale and advancement. High turnover rate for all staff. There is little oversight and accountability - when accountability is implemented, it is ineffective. There is a high rate of drug and alcohol abuse by the students (as expected in a high poverty school). Also, even though effort is put into the athletic programs, it seems that athletics sometimes ends up taking precedence over academics.
