    Great Company

    Pros

Training, support, compensation and benefits. Management from upper to middle care about the success of the field and the financial reps. The sales process is built for success. If you have a really good work ethic and don't try to take short cuts, you will experience success. So many new representatives get caught up in and have a difficult time managing their time with the flexibility this career offers. It is not difficult to prospect for people to see. It is a task, however, that alot of people aren't motivated to do. If you actually "ask" for referrals, get involved in your community and participate in events and market to small businesses along with seeing your regular clients, you will be successful. It seems from reading several of these reviews that people are blaming the company for their lack of ability to execute on this position. A good work ethic is an absolute necessity if you're going to experience success.

    Cons

Upper management has gone through changes that have made the direction less clear to the field. The technology is a challenge, but the company is in the process of improving that. The compensation is difficult for new reps to manage if they haven't had prior commission experience. It used to be easier to develop representatives when they had a guaranteed salary for a year.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Transparency from home office to the field. The field is often left in a speculative thought process about what changes are coming and how it's going to impact them. If the communications were more timely and less veiled, that would be an improvement. There is a field advisory board, but the field sees no value in it. Upper management would do well to actually involve the field in changes and policies. Too many people who have little to no field experience, or have been out of the field for too many years to relate to the field are making decisions that create an untrustworthy environment between field and upper management. Take heed to what your field is trying to tell you.
