    This position will support a federal IT program through various project operations and management functions.

    What you will get to do

    The Lead Technical Advisor will provide expert guidance and support for federal initiatives. The ideal team member will be responsible for advising on technical strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and facilitating collaboration across various stakeholders. The candidate will have a strong background in technical leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement within the federal environment. The Lead Technical Advisor must have expertise in federal IT regulations and processes. The individual in this role will need to be proactive and willing to handle a variety of general administrative, program management, and technical support duties. The ability to jump in and identify tasks needed to support the team is key, as the program and team are very dynamic and integrated.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement technical strategic initiatives to support federal agencies
    • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, technical teams, and external partners, to ensure alignment and collaboration.
    • Provide expert advice and guidance on complex technical issues, including systems architecture, data management, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies
    • Support the evaluation of modernization projects and champion standardization and system efficiencies
    • Identify potential risks and challenges related to technical implementation and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively
    • Support the professional development of technical staff through mentoring, training, and knowledge sharing activities
    • Ensure technical recommendations align with relevant government policies, regulations, and standards, including data privacy and security requirements
    • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in technical governance and share knowledge and insights with relevant stakeholders
    • Communicate technical concepts and recommendations effectively to non-technical stakeholders through clear and concise reports, presentations, and other communication channels.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and innovation within cross-government initiatives and lead initiatives to implement changes.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 15+ years federal consulting experience
    • Experience analyzing federal regulations and policy guidelines
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
    • Experience with formal project management practices, problem management and change control
    • Experience working on enterprise-scale projects and familiarity with the Federal Integrated Business Framework
    • Detail oriented with strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to take copious notes
    • Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment as well as working independently
    • Ability to analyze data and use analytic tools/software such as Excel
    • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to influence decision-making, motivate teams, and drive results in a matrixed environment.
    • Experience working with Microsoft Project, Excel and PowerPoint presentations
    • Must have a Bachelor of Arts or Science
    • Authorized to work for any U.S. employer

    Pay: $165,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
