    I worked at Alcoa

    Pros

If you want to work at a place where employees are genuinely cared for and looked after then I would strongly recommend Alcoa. There is a strong visibility of senior management. I was able to meet the plant manager for the site I worked at although I was only an intern. Furthermore, I was able to meet other managers from other sites in other countries.

    Cons

Personally, I did not have as much knowledge of the area I was working in before I joined the company. I would have appreciated a little more theoretical training even if only for a few days.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would recommend that the leadership of Alcoa keep doing all the good things they are doing and especially to maintain their commitment to environmental responsibility.

    Financial Analyst Rotational Program Interview

    Application Details

I applied through college or university – interviewed at Alcoa in November 2014.

    Interview Details

The initial interview took place on campus and was pretty informal and behavioral. Interviewer asked your typical behavioral questions and questioned several experiences/activities on my resume. Second round interview consisted of 6 short 30 minute interviews with executives in the rotational program. One technical interview that included a basic accounting quiz. Nothing too difficult for the most part.

What is depreciation expense's relationship to the 3 main financial statements?
