Team Neutralizes Vernal's Heat on Compressor Stations - In Utah, fieldman David Hazelbush found that when the mercury kicks up, some of Anadarko's field compressors shut down. "I thought there had to be something that would help keep the units running safely, regardless of the ambient temperature problems," David said. His hypothesis – along with I&E Tech Daniel Porter's technical programming skills – yielded a solution that increased daily volumes by 15% at three compressor stations in the Greater Natural Buttes. We thank these innovators for their dedicated enhancements!

I have been working at Anadarko Petroleum full-time (More than 3 years)RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEORecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEO
Vacation time (4-7 weeks, by age), competitive salary, many lucrative bonus programs, total compensation is killer, Christmas party (maroon 5, robin thicke, zac brown...), beautiful corporate headquarters, but most of all the people and culture. Values truly run the company, and how well you live those values determines your annual performance review and promotions/raises. If you are not a moral person with strong values, this is not the company for you.
Sometimes I worry that we're not doing enough to preserve the culture and current structure of the company. Anadarko is fantastic, but a large part of what makes us successful is that we enable and empower individuals to be successful via autonomy. It feels as if some people want to add more structure and process that could potentially stifle innovation and our spirit of entrepreneurship. This hasn't happened yet, but we need to be cognizant of the risk.
Advice to Management
Continue investing in your employees. Continue building talent and promoting from within. Capitalize on the low attrition rate. Don't stop giving employees the bragging rights of "top place to work".

I applied through an employee referral – interviewed at Anadarko Petroleum.
Had lunch with other geologists and geology managers from variety of groups. After lunch, I gave a presentation to about 10 people. Followed by 4 one-on-one interviews. The last meeting was with an HR representative. Took a tour of the facility (which is incredible). That was the end of the formal process. Waited 3 months for a response.
