I have been working at Citrix Systems full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Relaxed, open and fair. My colleagues were the best part of working at the company. There was some cutting edge tech but alas I didn't get the chance to work on it.

    Cons

Working with head office in FL meant that there was lots of bureaucracy involved in some very trivial decisions. Often the best approach to solving the problem was vetoed by dictatorial management. Pay wan't awesome.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Mark T is an ace dude. Some of his lieutenants are just talk loads of bull with no idea of how to run a tech company. When Mark T retires this company needs a similar visionary to take over, otherwise it will be in trouble

    Software Developer Interview

I applied through a staffing agency – interviewed at Citrix Systems.

    Interview Details

Rigorous in-person interview (no phone pre-screening) but then I lived locally. It became clear quickly that they wanted more of a mathematician than a software engineer. That's fair enough but it would have been better for all concerned if that had been clear up front. Three or four one-to-one interviews in succession, all of them technical. I presume had the prospects been better I would eventually have had a more HR-centered discussion too.
