I have been working at Grand Valley State University full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

good school, friendly folks, reasonable working conditions, supportive colleagues, shared vision of aiming for excellence in teaching quality, affordable tuition

    Cons

invisible administrative decision making leaves faculty & staff unsure why decisions were made the way they were, and what the priorities actually are

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

make decision process more transparent and substantive; vague statements are useless.
