McGraw Hill Financial's retirement benefits necessarily vary depending on your country of work.

For U.S. employees, some of the basics are:

401(k) Savings. The company will contribute an amount equal to 100% of the first 6% of Eligible Pay you contribute each pay period as tax-deferred contributions.* Eligible employees may invest up to 25% of their eligible pay up to the IRS contribution limit of $17,500 for 2013.

Profit Sharing. The Company may contribute to your retirement income through discretionary profit sharing contributions.

Employee Stock Purchase. Employees may purchase common stock of McGraw Hill Financial through a payroll deduction plan, with no brokerage or commission fees to the employee. 

*These updates do not apply to the Standard and Poor's 401(k) Savings and Profit Sharing Plan for Represented Employees, which covers Guild employees.

Paid and Unpaid Time off

All full-time employees are granted paid vacations depending on the length of their service. Holidays depend on the country and business unit, but most U.S. business units observe New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Thanksgiving Friday, and Christmas Day. Employees are also eligible to take three floating holidays throughout the year for religious observances, dependent care, vacation, or to meet other time-off needs.

    I applied through a recruiter – interviewed at J.D. Power.


    There's an Excel test; be prepared on your charting skills (formatting the graph to match another already formatted graph, changing axis etc.) and formulas like LEN function and Vlookup (the latter being really important in the work itself), MAX, MIN, the usual........a brief test on how to work SPSS....and the usual interview rounds with the managers and Admin people.
