I have been working at Mattel full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Excellent benefits, ample vacation time, creative environment, half day Fridays

    Cons

A draconian IP policy that dictates anything we create during our off-hours that could be seen as having a toy application belongs to the company and they consider anything from a children's book to a killer robot as their intellectual property of Mattel.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The current executive leadership team inspires neither confidence or loyalty. Clean house and hire some leaders.

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Mattel.

    Interview Details

Applied through college campus. I was contacted for an interview on campus. If they want to proceed further, there will be a phone interview with a manager and then on-site interview. Interviewers are nice and ask basic interview questions.
