I worked at Murphy Oil as an intern (less than an year)

Good pay and benefits, opportunities are good long term and has a small company feel for a bigger company. Nice new office in Houston

Lack of feedback and poor work life balance. As an intern it was not bad, but the Full time engineers spent plenty of weekends in the field with no overtime.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More feedback to interns and new engineers, and make sure they have the tools to succeed, or at least know where to find them.

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

Talked to one of their company representatives at the Career Fair at my school. Received an interview soon after the Career Fair. Pretty informal process compared to others - I liked the relaxed yet professional way it was handled. The interview was pretty relaxed and mostly they just asked questions about my resume and involvement. HR for this company is overall very helpful and comprised of good people.
