I worked at Santarus full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Fantastic company culture. I felt highly valued and appreciated. I learned more at this company than at any other I've ever worked at.

    Cons

The company did too well - it was purchased for its patents and sales force, and the rest of the staff was let go and the office closed.

Santarus is a bit controlling, but in this case it's okay. Santarus' flagship drug Glumetza improves glycemic control for type 2 diabetes patients and is marketed through a partnership with Depomed. It markets a similar drug, Cycloset, also to improve glycemic control for type 2 diabetes, through a distribution and license agreement with S2 Therapeutics and Veroscience.
