    Amazing Culture

I have been working at Aéropostale full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The leadership and culture that they represent is amazing at Aero. It is really like one big family here, where everyone looks out for you, as you do for them.

    Cons

Really don't have cons to list here for working at Aeropostale. The culture is great, the people are great. Aero runs a pretty lean shop, but provides you the means to get everything done.

I have been working at Aéropostale part-time

    Pros

The people at All Aeros are always nice. I was there for a year and a half and made sooooo many friends.

    Cons

Horrible pay and little to no chances for raises

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    I loved my management!

    Pros

Pretty much just the discount if you like the clothes they have. I only bought Camis and socks, but it was a good price.

    Cons

Working weekends, working 40-70 hours per week, unsupportive upper management, dealing with shoplifters and getting threatened by them. They are not doing well financially. Recently their stock was lower than when the first incorporated. They laid off hundreds at corporate level and are doing no 401k matching or raises, merit or otherwise.

    Pros

The work environment is fun and you can wear whatever you want.

    Cons

As a sales lead, you hold keys to the store. You are a manager in charge of hiring and training as well as working long hours. You have many responsibilities.... and they pay you 8-9 dollars an hour, so next to nothing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would consider paying your sales leads more. They barely get paid more than regular associates but are expected to do substantially more.

I worked at Aéropostale part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

It was always fun to be at work. The discounts were awesome.

    Cons

The only staff that are full time is the management. Also they want you wearing their fashions, which was kind of hard being that you only work 20-25 hours a week at little above minimum wage with other bills to pay.

I worked at Aéropostale part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Can work around your class schedule.
They prefer not to do that though. Overall there aren't many pros for this company.

    Cons

Management is not compassionate. District managers don't help like they're supposed too. Way to much drama. Don't think that your college education is more important than your part-time job. Schedule you for unreasonable hours with no break. Very hard to move up within the company. They don't give out any raises.

    Pros

Great pay, people you work with are like your family. Benefits are amazing and you gain a lot of knowledge working for Aero.

    Cons

Too many tasks company asks of too much and not enough payroll. They work you to the bone and expect so much but payroll is a huge problem. They want you to only focus on the customer but do not give you any extra payroll to fill the sales floor. Absolutely impossible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give an extra 4 hours a day in the mornino every morning to fill the sales floor to be able to focus on getting REAL with the customers.
