I have been working at AXA Advisors part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

I heard other branches just give busy work for interns to do but my supervisor actually spent time teaching about the industry and investment products. Good place to start your internship experience

    Cons

Unpaid internship. Not very organized. Busy work did not teach much. Schedule changes are frequent

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay interns when they're doing your work

    Former Employee - Administrative Assistant

I worked at AXA Advisors part-time

    Pros

The financial advisor by whom I was employed was very professional and organized. He was involved and invested in my work for the company as well as my professional development.

    Cons

There was some lack of organization and structure that was frustrating and made projects difficult to accomplish.

I have been working at AXA Advisors

    Pros

It's a really relevant growth experience. Especially if you are on your first job experience.

    Cons

They train you really much. You will have a coach who follows your for the first period.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think it could be more challenging; finding a way to keep entushiasm among employers, not just once at year

    Current Contractor - Financial Representative
    Current Contractor - Financial Representative

I have been working at AXA Advisors as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

    -The free food on Friday's
-The feeling (for around 2 weeks) that things are finally looking up for you.
-There are some really nice people who work in the office.
-The opportunity to get your Series 7 and 66 but make sure you get them early
    - The opportunity to make a good living selling AXA Products

    Cons

    - Everything they say to you during the interview process is not bona-fide and is a straight sales pitch.
    - The District Managers will say anything to get you to sign their pre-contract even lying to your face.
    - DM's daily schedule is calling college kids all day everyday using the same script they will use on you
    - DM's main strategy is to get you to call mom, dad, and all of your friends then branch out from them (if
you don't come from a rich family good luck)
    - Not trained on how to sell to the general public. (They script you on how to sell to your own mom)
    - Pre-Contract states that they can terminate you anytime regardless of the 180 day trial period you were
promised and they will terminate it if you don't call your friends and family.
    - No reimbursement for license fees and your DM keeps your family members that you brought in because
their retirement products are in-house proprietary products meaning their stuck with AXA products because
they will take a huge loss for liquidating the plan if they want to withdraw
    - Pyramid Scheme.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Stop being unethical
    - Train your newcomers on how to sell to the general public instead of forcing them to call family members
their beginning weeks in. When our family members and friends see us succeed they will join us but
calling them the first week in when we have no clue what were trying to sell them doesn't look good for us.
    - Don't say if you earn the 5,000 PC'S and pass all your exams under the 180 day trial period you will be
hired for the full contract when you don't mean it.

I have been working at AXA Advisors

    Pros

Teaches you to present materials professionally and build lasting relationships with clients.

    Cons

Everything else. Management here is a joke. Once you leave and a client decides to cancel their contract, AXA bills you for the advanced commissions. That's not a problem and I agree money should be reimbursed. However, agents who take over your newly acquired client may churn the account (cancel their existing account and make them open another one within AXA to increase their application count to meet the monthly quota) or simply give bad service making the client want to transfer to a better institution.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't just concentrate on one or two of your favorites. Spend more time going over technical information regarding the products you sell.
