An abundance of managers with but a shred of experience combined

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) London, England

ProsThere was a good atmosphere amongst the team.

ConsManagers were too competitive and political which resulted in confused metrics, goals and handballing of support issues. In particular, setting KPI targets that didn't reflect the aims of the work & showing a basic understanding of IT support.
The managers simply forgot to renew several contracts (they then panicked when replacing the staff).

Advice to Senior ManagementCombine your support teams and set your measurements to reflect actual work being done instead of oversimplifying it.

    Average at best

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsSome of the people have great potential, company culture, central location, schemes including cycle to work, recognised recruitment company on CV, opportunity to work with multiple brands

ConsDerisory pay increases, New staff brought in on higher salaries, Favouritism at management level, Slow processes and decision making, United Nations style conference calls, Annual conference maintains a tired format. Considering the size of the company the lack of a subsidised Christmas party, IT

Advice to Senior ManagementAn understanding that current workers need to be rewarded appropriately or they will leave with their knowledge and experience and you will have to pay more to rehire.

    Administrator (Current Employee) Reading, England

ProsServicing their contract workers needs and answering querie is good. Help and advice always available at the end of a phone. Will answer all queries, no evasive answers.

ConsDidn't update individual contractor records when the placement finished. When contract ends still asks why no timesheets submitted.

Advice to Senior ManagementUpdate contracts as changers and assignments end.
