Don't feel apart of something, just another sales person.

I worked at Adidas Group full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Worldwide Comapny with vast diverse range of products and outlooks.

    Cons

Total miscommunication throughout the company leading to mixed messages going out for release dates and when this information proves wrong either down to a short delay or most of the times the date being shifted for several months it not only portrays a unstable company it also comes across to the customer that staff seem distrusting and end up loosing credibility.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get coherent communication and branding strategy throughout, take notice of entry level staff and make them feel apart of something.

I have been working at Adidas Group

    Pros

free gym, free parking, great people to work with, get to meet some sporting stars, nice environment with the new office building.

    Cons

not enough money for the responcibilty, too many managers, too much work for the head count on the floor, managers are recognised but not the staff

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

more appreciation should be given as the responcibilty put on staff far outways the salary's paid.

adidas is a Great Place to Work!

I have been working at Adidas Group full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Great place to work. No 2 days are the same. At times very fast-paced which I enjoyed. In Canton, MA, USA, the work environment is second to none with so many amenities including Barber Shop, on campus workout facilities, on campus child care and so much more

    Cons

There is definitely a culture clash between US and Germany. Each group at times has difficulty understanding the needs and culture differences between the 2.

Also the company is undergoing a phase where expense has been targeted to reduce ASAP. Dwindling headcount is having a toll on some really great teams all throughout the business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be careful that you don't keep cutting HC. You're already at the bone and your employees are feeling the strain of trying to a lot more with a lot less in the way of bodies, resources and overall support.

I worked at Adidas Group as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

This is a great company, great people, and has wonderful benefits (who doesn't like a ton of free adidas gear). This company is truly a dream, and you get to work with people from all over the world. Adidas will only continue to get better and better, both company and product.

    Cons

Sometimes the process time for approval is a bit long, but it's all for the greater good. I really can't think of any cons.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the great work, this company is a dream.

Great company to work in, but not if you want to make a career in IT

I have been working at Adidas Group full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Very international, people from everywhere and official communication language is English. Great support for expats.
Great work-life balance. Also lot's of activities around the campus and you get to meet sports superstars.
Environment very relaxed. A very good brand to work for.

    Cons

Not a great place to build a career in IT. It's very neglected even on this day and age. It's much much easier to make your way up and grow as a people manager or business analyst/consultant than if you are an engineer, developer, technical architect, etc. Unfortunately very few bright IT people to follow or in leadership positions within IT.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Even when the CIO speech is to make IT from a back office function to a money maker, there is no sign of this changing in the near future. Unfortunately adidas has not picked up yet the digital pace we currently live in.
