    Pros

Great support, great products and training. Good incentives and pay. The company pays claims as they advertise. Up to date technology makes submitting new business and claims easy and fast.

Consider the economy of the area you will be selling in, it has been tough in my rural - low pay area causing me to travel more than I would like.

I have been working at Aflac full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

I have complete control over how much I make or don't make based on what I'm willing to put into my career.

    Cons

Sometimes it can be difficult to stay motivated and focused. I'm easily distracted so I have to make my goals a priority.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think more focus needs to be on quality recruiting, training and retention as opposed to mass recruiting. This isn't a fit for everyone.

I have been working at Aflac as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

I've observed a great deal of professionalism in their customer service area. They're a pretty friendly company, too, with fun activities as well as service opportunities for local charities, especially children's health care charities like Saint Jude.

    Cons

While some might consider this a "Pro", they're a fairly conservative organization, politically. They contribute to the Republican Governor's reelection PAC, and the founding family, which still runs it, is pretty strongly religious. They force employees to cover tattoos and disapprove of visible piercings.
They also lose out on a lot of great people in their customer service area by forcing new employees to work a bad schedule for work/life balance.

I have been working at Aflac full-time

    Pros

Great Health benefits, 401K, Nice town to retire too, and They do their best to keep their employees and help them find other opportunities if need be.

    Cons

Compensation could be better. Their biggest rival are the jobs in the Atlanta market which pay very well in the Technology field.
