    Tremendous colleagues & good benefits

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsCompensation is above average and despite being over 300 employees on site still has company outing & Christmas party each year.. The scientists are very talented. Company's aggressive approach has been rewarded with the stock nearly tripling over the last three years. Enocourags personal growth and provides the opportunities readily & frequently.

ConsHighly political environment. It is critical for your career and possible employment status to align yourself with key managers and personnel. Once out of favor nothing will restore your "good" status. Emotional Intelligence is much more important than technical skill to do well. Company has become very compartmentalized.

Advice to Senior ManagementRewarding only the politically savvy at the expense of losing highly talented technical staff will not allow the company to sustain its highly successful approach it has used to date. The compartmentalization of functions & departments currently occurring is leading to silos and will erode overall effectiveness of the US sites.

    Engineer I

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Wilmington, OH (US)

ProsVery clean Pharma facility. Aggressive CAPX budgets, always a plus for project engineers. Quality driven.

ConsToo much inter-office dating at every level in the company. It made for a really weird working environment. The corporate office was also out of touch with the needs and operations of the manufacturing plants.

Great company, solid pipeline, lots of room for growth

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Waltham, MA (US)

ProsThe company offers flexible work arrangements, room for growth, a highly collaborative atmosphere, a solid pipeline, and an approach rooted in science but run for a long term profit.

ConsIt's not always clear how the different parts of the company can work together given the different cultures at the different locations.

Advice to Senior ManagementImprove vertical communication among layers.

Decent place to start your career

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Cambridge, MA (US)

Pros- Decent pay & good benefits package
    - Location was great; at the center of the biotech scene in MA
    - Hired a lot of young people, which made the workplace fun and exciting even though the work wasn't

Cons- Too clicky and senior managers seemed to play favorites
    - A lot of politics
    - Wish I learned more of the science behind things; live and die by SOP's
    - Silo'd at times; tough to do things outside-the-box (unless you were one of the favorites)
