    Pros

Dedicated professionals with a passion for their jobs. I learned more than I could have ever hoped for during my years with AlliedBarton.

    Cons

The Security industry is not for everyone. Expect long hours and many sleepless nights to work your way up to the top.

    Advice to Management

It is a small industry, so do not burn any bridges. Consider educational backgrounds and professional expertise, not just the ability to be liked.

    Pros

Easy to work for, but not great pay but decent, great for students and retired or people looking for a side job.

    Cons

big difference between accounts and head office has a tendency to forget about you sometimes also a bad tendency to send guards to sites they really shouldn't of been sent to if someone had talked to them

    Advice to Management

Really talk to new employees to figure out what sites to send them to . Just don't send them to whatever site without even explaining what the site does or shifts they can't even work

    Pros

Great Job Security. Accurate Pay. Good Management.

    Cons

I was there just shy of three years and never once got a raise. I was always on time and performed well, and even successfully completed their Master Security Officer Program. When I would inquire about it I always given the run around.

    Advice to Management

Find those that truly shine and reward them accordingly.

    Pros

The experience really differs based on the site you're stationed at, but in the two sites I've been stationed at - one was much more stressful than the other - I've still very much enjoyed the job. Despite there being a need for observational skill and quick-thinking problem solving, there is also down time that allows you to focus on school work or reading.

    Cons

Promotions can be hard to come by if you don't present yourself as hard working and intelligent, even when you have the down time.
