Ive been with Alliedbarton. For 4 years and working at city sites which pays 13 to 16 $
I currently work at a very high profile site which Alliedbarton just renewed the contract this site is part of 32BJ and also currently has empire blue cross has its medical and offers vocation and sick days

Downside is that management wants you to stay there and never promotes unless one of there favorites
They don't give OT because its going to cost the company alot and away from the account manager bonus haha my boss is a funny guy though
Overall its good but only if they ppromoted within and on the excellent service we provide but trust me wayyy better than any in security

    Cons

    Hire favorable within
    No OT when want it

    Cons

The average wage is barely a living wage, making almost poverty but just over it so that you do not qualify for any help from the government

I have been working at AlliedBarton full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Considering the companies available in the industry, AlliedBarton is pretty good. It used to be very good, but the realities of the market has forced all service industries to become more competitive, sometimes to the detriment of the employees. Training offered is best in class, and there are many very talented people that truly care. Unfortunately, just like with any large company, there are a duds in management as well, and they tend to get the attention on this site.

    Cons

Many of the cons that people associate with this company are directly related to the customer at which an employee is assigned, and the realities of any entry level service job. This is true of any contracted service provider.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the people who run the business every day. Your best line level leaders will tell you how to be successful, and if you don't listen, they'll find a company that will.

I have been working at AlliedBarton full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

At most sites you are attached to people with good character

    Cons

Management isn't all that great, The hourly wage is horrible compared to most other security companies and the benefits may work if you are young and single between the ages of 18-25, But if you are in that age range or older with or without families its horrible.

I have been working at AlliedBarton full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The union benefit package is wonderful. If you have a military background this company may benifit you. There are certifcates offered after completion of online courses that you can add to your resume.

    Cons

One of my cons is when the client decides to add a work load that is not included in the contract with no compensation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Appreciation goes along way especially for the hard working employees who goes above and beyond to maintain the reputation of its company name.
