    Pros

It is a good company to build your management career, starting form technical position. Not a lot of companies will allow you to do it

    Cons

corporate culture, becoming worse and worse with years.
There is no way of rewarding technical staff and expertise. If you don't want to be a manager in the end of the day, there is nothing to do in Amdocs

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They never think about employees, only about profits

Good opportunity for experienced or dedicated staff. Too much "corporate" management makes effecting change hard.

    Pros

UK benefits are excellent, and worth the slightly uncompetitive salary. Processes do improve, albeit slowly. You can progress quickly if you are experienced or willing to live in the office. The right projects (high visibility) can be very rewarding as they can be used to effect changes which would normally have taken too long.

    Cons

The bureaucracy is overkill, there are too many levels of management. Inter departmental communication is poor. Experienced staff are all too often promoted away from where they can make a real difference, leaving unexperienced staff to attempt to continue.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clearer communication about WHY they are making decisions.

    Pros

Flexible work culture, demanding projects, challenging environment but with the creativity to do your own thing, quick and intense exposure to roles

    Cons

Learning to thrive in ambiguity, reading between the lines, navigating between politics, focus on what's really important and avoiding getting dragged into the unnecessary

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Identity; it's alright to belong and not necessarily be tagged as a "global" company; it's even more alright to be bad to be good ;)

    Overall good company to work

I have been working at Amdocs full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Good company to start as it engages you from the very beginning and also allows you to try different carrier in IT field.
    - Employee oriented culture.
    - Various activities to keep you stress free from sports and curricular activities.
    - Good onsite opportunities.
    - Good facilities from transport to subsidized food to free fruits and snacks daily.
    - Various learning classes to enhance one knowledge.
    - Where its counter parts hire in bulk amdocs believes in hire in quality and not quantity.
    - You can gain a lot of experience in less time as you will be judge based on your performance.
    - Lots of employee engaging programs and platforms.

    Cons

    - It was one of the best company to work earlier but now the management is more focused on company profits then employee benefits.
    - Company has changed so many policies which resulted in high iteration in recent times.
    - A company which was all about employees and has its uniqueness is now just any other common IT companies with less appraisal.
    - If you will get any project with less onsite opportunities then forget your chance to ever to go for a business trip.
    - Less professional growth in some teams and projects due to inner politics( not all have such scenario but most of them have it)
    - Long hours sometime without proper allowances.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working with amdocs for last 5 yrs and have seen it in full glory.
I miss those days and get saddened by the way things are now.
Company has missed its charm where people use to dream of working some day.
Lot of people who got hired in upper management who changed such policies which helped in employee staying in company.
I hope it becomes again a employee oriented company where it will focus on its employees comfort and be the company where everybody want to work.
