    Pros

Most of my students were engaging and bright, and the staff I interacted with were all very pleasant. The campus itself is lovely.

    Cons

Communication was not always clear and at times it seemed really quite disorganized. Not a great rate of compensation but that seems par for the course these days for adjuncts.

    Pros

Great place to work. The leadership has changed over the years. We now have Levi, Tyler, Matt, and Travis. These guys are young, smart, and driven to make it a better place for everyone to work and students to succeed.

    Cons

Some of the middle managers are still caught between the new way and the old way

    Advice to Management

Keep focused on what is important and never stop putting the students first. I can see a shift on the horizon and I like what I am seeing.

    Pros

Good people to work with for the most part - kind of a cliquey environment. Rate at which PTO is earned is nice, 25 days at 8 years.

    Cons

No communication. It kind of feels like if the lights went out they still wouldn't tell you that they are out - totally vague.

    Advice to Management

Communicate - get your employees more involved decision making process. Or at the very least tell them what's going on.

    Pros

Great benefits and work life balance. You aren't required to come in on weekends.

    Cons

You live in fear that you could be fired at any moment. Stressful environment.

    Advice to Management

Be more flexible if someone makes a mistake because one slip up doesn't mean a person does it everytime.

    Pros

The air conditioning worked well. There were benefits. And coffee. Sometimes people brought snacks. Not a lot I liked about this place, honeslty.

    Cons

Pressured to sign people up for classes who are unlikely to succeed. Phones were on auto-dial. Graudation rate was very low, and yet sales pressure very high. I felt like I was making the world a worse place.

    Advice to Management

Stop taking advantage of students. Invest more in better instructors and curriculum and spend less on marketing. Lower the price of tuition so students aren't going hopelessly in debt for a useless degree.

    Pros

On one hand the most of the Argosy staff were great, they were easy to talk and always willing to help.

    Cons

There were a few people in key positions that could NOT care less about Argosy employees or students; at times this made the situation unbearable.

    Pros

One of the most successful Argosy campuses, the Hawaii location offers a solid work environment with great colleagues.

    Cons

Parent company, EDMC, is very financially shaky right now, so things do change and could change at any time.

    Advice to Management

Continue to maintain consistent excellence at the Hawaii campus. Keep up good morale and keep Argosy ahead of the pack for for-profit schools.
