I have been working at Avery Dennison as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

This is a great place to start your career with plenty of room to grow and relocate (if you so wish). As a large company, there are decent benefits and compensation. The work environment is driven and leadership pushes for results.

    Cons

The higher up-the-ladder you look, the more stressed and overworked the employees become. Everyone is very busy with their own schedule (lots of meetings), that the culture feels anxious.

I have been working at Avery Dennison full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Challenging projects, good benefits, great financial support from corporate HQ.

    Cons

The leadership team was assembled from transfers within Avery Dennison. Most have a label converting background. None understood the complexity of what was being manufactured and really didn't care. If you want to report to someone that doesn't understand the product or what you do, this is the place to work!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Division leaders should be from the electronics industry, NOT the converting industry. You're building an electronic component! Not a label.
