    Frustrating

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

    ProsOne of the best salaries and benefit packages of the market.

    Cons- Political environment focused on internal competition instead or creating value for the company;
    - Too hierarchical; you see one director at maybe every 3 months and with very little opportunity to interact with them; lower positions have no power to take any kind of decisions.
    - Feels like working in the public sector instead of a private company;

    Advice to Senior ManagementRetire and let new blood take over.

    Great bank, great people - could use fresher middle and top management

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

    ProsGood compensation, great work environment, strong investment in their people. A lot of opportunity to tackle new positions, move around business units and gain experience in the overall business.

    ConsThe main challenge is with top and some middle management, who seem too set in their ways and kinda tired. An infusion of fresh, young talent up the top would do much good to the company.

    Advice to Senior ManagementStart to reinvent the business now, before it's a question of survival - once it gets there, it'll be too late to reinvent it.

    Tiring and little opportunity for development

    Senior Business Analyst (Former Employee) São Paulo, São Paulo (Brazil)

    ProsOne of the best salaries on the market;

    ConsRidiculously bureaucratic;
    Incompetent Executives;
    Lots of unqualified employees that are kept due to union;
    Strongly subjective meritocracy;

    Advice to Senior ManagementWhile the same executives stays in control, the bank will still be ridiculous. The only thing that saves you in the fact that is a very protected market. Let's just hope that this doesn't change in near future, for your sake...

    Credit Risk Modeling (HQ), it's great

    Intern (Former Employee) São Paulo, São Paulo (Brazil)

    ProsAwesome people, lots of stimulus for learning stuff (you often got paid to watch academic presentations), good salary with lots of benefits. Hours are OK depending on what exactly you do. People got promoted a lot. Management was great.

    ConsIt took a reeeally long time for people to reach management roles. Most managers were folks who went through the bank's "trainee" program and, afterwards, worked as analysts for 8-10 years. That's understandable since the company's so huge.
