    Pros

I have much to offer in the way of diversity of experience and profession, because I have worked in various major industries. Within these industries I have had the opportunity to learn human resource policies, procedures and the protocol necessary to enforce them ethically and without liability. From my work in office settings, I have sharpened my organizational skills, attention to detail and my ability to work with speed and accuracy

    Cons

I can be very detailed at times...time consuming

    Advice to Management

treat people as you like to be treated

    Pros

This is a great place to work. I like that it is fast paced and I am exposed to the banking industry without dealing with the Customer Service end of things. Great benefits package and paid time off. They do 6 months reviews which are nice and they are based on YOUR performance, not team performance.

    Cons

I have to travel about 50 miles to work every day. That gets tiring, it is sort of out of the way for me. The only other con is they start you pretty low salary wise here, so expect to work your way up.

    Advice to Management

Give credit where credit is due.

    Pros

Being a Fortune 500 company, BoA offers plenty of room for growth if you learn the corporate structure and work to set yourself apart from the herd.

    Cons

Production Based. You can begin to feel like just another body on a large plantation if you get stuck in certain paths (customer service, call center, teller, etc.), but once you break free from that congestion (several years of crazy hours), it can be clear skies.

Also don't expect the best schedule to start... when it comes to hours worked and holiday time off (blame it on seniority); which isn't so bad once you earn seniority yourself.

    Advice to Management

(Continue to) Recognize the hard work of dedicated associates; we all sacrifice time away from our families to ensure the company functions smoothly. I am very grateful for the mentors and supervisors who noticed my value as a person and employee and encouraged my growth.

  6. I worked for Bank of America for 6 years the only thing I miss is my peers and the benefits.

    Pros

Bank of America had Great Benefits including paid for childcare, tuition, 401k etc.

    Cons

A lot of change all at one time. Unrealistic goals. Not the best schedules =, must work weekends and holidays

    Advice to Management

Make goals more achievable and reward your team when achieving high unrealistic goals.

    Pros

You don't have to have experience to get in as a teller, they'll train you. And once you're in, it's very possible to go up, if sales is in your blood. The benefits they offer are very good, medical, dental, daycare, 401k, 12weeks paid maternal leave, discount to buy ecological car, and so on.

    Cons

At times, I felt like a robot being a teller, I mean, an ATM can do almost everything I could. And tellers are really pushed to sell, but don't get bonus from it (like everybody else in the branch), besides keeping the job.

    Advice to Management

Give the tellers more love, they're the ones that really see and talk to all the customers.

    Pros

    Set hours
    Great work environment
    Large company
    Great benefits
    Good underwriting team
    Good loan review team

    Cons

Management constantly pushing for more than was possible
    Poor sales support from management
Better explanations of loan qualification issues

    Advice to Management

Please consider that loans are a commodity now and sales tactics on mortgages have changed dramatically. Work towards solutions for customers instead of pushing them into a product.
